Final Bigelow Post EVER*
We got our briefs back yesterday. I did better than I thought I might, but then I thought she might set fire to my brief and return the ashes in an envelope marked "FAILURE."
Perhaps even more than on exams, the grading for our writing class seems arbitrary. In part this is because we are not told where we are losing points, except for bluebooking -- and even that scoring system is obscure at best. I have no way of knowing if I lost points because I didn't cite a case she wanted me to cite, or because my argument was thin (tissue -- no, microscopically -- thin), or because she simply liked other briefs more and it's graded on a curve. Maybe it's none of the above. I'll never know.
But it is done. I'll never again inflict a Legal Research and Writing rant on you.
*Yes, pop open the champagne. It's safe to celebrate the end of that particular nightmare.

we are not told where we are losing points
then how in the world is this class helpful to you?

It's not. Not helpful at all.
