Happy New Year, Grown-Up Version

The kids each went off to their own New Years Eve parties last night, looking fabulous and oh-so-adult. This whole growing-up thing is such a gradual process it's sometimes easy to miss the stages. But last night was one of those nights when TFL and I looked at each other and thought, it won't be long now--we're almost done.

Er, done as anyone with children ever is.

Still, if all goes well both of them will be gone next year. Then the partying will begin!! We will miss them dreadfully, of course.

May all of you have a safe and happy new year, and let's hope Michigan starts it off right by whomping USC.

I think we missed the Partying Stage. Where did we go wrong? Is it too late to start?

We must have just arrived at the partying phase, so "Let's have at it".

That's right! "My two favorite teams are UCLA and whoever's playing USC" = Go Wolverines!
