Pirate Law

Do you know what three sheets to the wind means? How about minding your ps and qs?

We learn about this sort of Really Important Stuff in Admiralty, the most underrated class in law school.

Also: listserves only really come alive when used inappropriately.

Admiralty was one of my faves in school. I wrote my big paper on the Marque and Reprisal Clause, too. LOVE that stuff!

I learned what "Three sheets etc" means from my Dad, at an early age. And "p's & q's" from Mother. But these may not be the definitions you have in mind.

I'm so jealous. We don't have Pirate Law. :( Which is a shame, because I would soooo answer every question with "YARRRR MATEY!!!"
