Brain: You Are Not Much Good To Me

Winter break needs to be in reverse order.

This week I am in town, with time to Get Things Done. Things such as: send Christmas cards, prepare for next semester, do journal work, do some other editing work, muck out the house, and catch up on some long overdue reading. Next week I am out of town, gallivanting around and visiting various relatives and imbibing a lot of festive beverages and even lolling about in hot tubs.

But my brain needs next week to be this week. It is not cooperating with my efforts to Get Things Done. I read a few pages and my Brain says "Time for a snooze!" I get one small chore done and Brain says, "Ok, that's enough productivity for one day!"

So if break were reversed, by the time the week of relative-visiting and festive-beverage-imbibing was over Brain would be back in shape (sort of) and maybe I'd be able to get a little something done.

That's my theory and I'm sticking to it. Not that it gets me anywhere.

Boy, do I feel you. Hope you can be as productive as you need to be and still fit in a lot of rest.
