LL's Mad Cat Lilly
LL is house-hunting in Texas this week so I happily agreed to stop by and check on her cat this week. Her psychotic cat. She (the cat) is absolutely, stunningly mad.
When I got there she kept attacking me and trying to make me break my neck as I was trying to refill her food and water bowls. It was pitiful. So I sat and watched Notting Hill with her, while she alternated between trying to kill me and sitting in my lap soaking up love. She started yowling when I got up to leave, attacked me all the way to the door. I was surprised the police didn't show up to arrest whoever was torturing the cat.
Anyway, she had plenty of food and water but I'll probably go back tomorrow just to make sure she hasn't turned completely feral or anything. I feel that someone should tell her that if she's going to attack, she is supposed to unsheath her claws, and that biting entails actually chomping down, but it would be pretty foolish for any of us to tell her that so I guess we'll just let her keep her delusions of fierceness.

It's a fine line between love and attack. Cats are just weird that way.

Anyone out there want a beautiful, young, neutered, orange & white cat? Will play Fetch, and come when you whistle. Also sadly confused about the line between love and attack.

When I read your email out loud last night, JP said - "your cat is an embarrassment." And she is. I love you for putting up with her anyway and I'm glad she was at least a little cuddly.
And Notting Hill is one of my very favorite chick flicks. We have a few others for you to enjoy (and plenty of war movies thanks to JP).
