The weather this week is a vast improvement over last week's. We have had a couple of sunny and warm days in a row. Yesterday I even walked along the shore in bare feet. Mmm.
At last the crocus in front are blooming madly, a little carpet of purple and yellow. The hydrangea shrub I put in last fall is blooming. I forget the variety and I must go look it up -- it has small leaves and a delicate, arching habit with lovely white blossoms. So pretty.
I will miss my garden. However, I have neglected it awfully these past few years so perhaps I deserve what I am getting.
I enjoy reading your blog and read it daily to keep up with what is going on in your lives. Keep them coming, Love Mom

There is a whole garden just outside the front door, filled with strange plants, plus a peach tree, various citrus producers, a couple of palm trees, wild impatiens (how do you spell that anyway?, lots of struggling roses, a dry well, enormous avocado trees, with a backdrop of great tall trees in the rest of the church yard loaded with Spanish Moss and flower producing parasites clinging in every arboreal crevice. Maybe sometime I will do something besides looking at it.

The mayordomo responsible for this patch of garden (costs and maintenance) has sent a young man (Natcho) over for several days to tidy up. There's a LOT to do but it looks 100% better already. There is actually a little path through two rows of rose bushes. TBL didn't promise me a rose garden, but there it is!
