We had unexpected guests as soon as we got back from our holiday tour. Friends of GirlChild rolled into town with their plans askew because their hostess had gone awol. Guess where they landed instead--my livingroom floor.
For three days.
They were perfectly nice people and did not trash the place or anything. But for three days I was essentially exiled from my own livingroom, and do you know how hard it is to clean or do laundry or get your life together when there are strangers around all the time? Well, it's hard.
But today they are gone, and we are slowly making our way back (in between surfing for news from New Hampshire, because we are political junkies). TFL has a pot of stew on the stove, even, and has been moving laundry through all day. Whee!
