It's been a very long week today. I think I forgot to eat lunch. Back to back meetings are exhausting, but today's were highly productive. On the other hand, I haven't done any of the reading for tomorrow. Urp.
This post is a perfect example of what I love about British--or any--humor. Wry, with a vicious twist. Sounds like a drink, doesn't it?
A friend got great news, bad news, potentially horrible but possibly sort of good news--all today. Her life is drama. It's exhausting even to watch, so I stand in awe and admiration of her ability to keep her nose above water.
I pondered my Negotiations deal all yesterday evening, woke up thinking about it today, did some deep analysis of it this afternoon, and am slowly beginning to realize that I take this seriously and maybe, just maybe, rather enjoy it. It brings together both my competitive instinct and my willingness to get everyone to at least think they're walking away happy. My opposite is someone I feel no compunction whatsoever in manipulating just as far as I am able. Which may prove to be not far at all, but we shall see.
