Today was one of those days where I sat at my desk, my phone didn't ring, I didn't get emails, and I didn't get up -- I just worked, straight through. It was a very long day. I got a lot of writing done, but we'll have to wait until tomorrow to see if any of it makes sense. Right now I'm just feeling a bit like a wrung out rag.
In other news: one of my brothers is coming to stay and I truly and desperately need a housekeeper.
Sounds productive. I had a long evening learning about Category Theory (less formally known as General Abstract Nonsense) and its applications to database search optimization. I also learned about Binary Decision Diagrams and that Math 525 (Probability Theory) requires some fairly involved Calculus (Wronskians, double integrals, and Laplace Transforms). I'm fairly spent but excited to know some math I probably couldn't explain before exhausting the average layman's endurance for it. Justin can't even explain Category Theory without losing me quickly.
I also got a haircut today, and was told it looks excellent, to paraphrase.
