I admit it. These days, I'm stressed. It's probably equal parts work (which I love, so it's usually a good stress) and Family Stuff (I love my family too, but things get stressful). I had a rough week, though, starting with a migraine and ending with a vendor royally screwing me over (fallout to be determined), and by yesterday I think my psyche was just done. So I spent most of the day in therapy.
Yep, I played with my yarn almost all day long. I sorted, and organized, and matched yarn to patterns, and even bagged up yarn with the pattern or a note about which pattern it was, and updated my Ravelry queue accordingly. It was a very productive, soothing activity.
Look, here's a chair covered with knitting projects ready to go:
It's comforting just to look at it, no? The yarn looks better out of plastic bags, but it's fun to see all these kits lined up and ready. (Also, this is maybe about a quarter of my yarn by bulk. Yeah. Some day I'll actually get it all out, take it out of the plastic bags (after banishing Dogness and doing a major vacuuming) and get some decent pics.)
I even got a little knitting done:
That's one of GirlChild's bowls. She's going to be setting up an Etsy shop and selling them, and she has an art fair coming up if you're in her area. When I saw this bowl I instantly demanded it to use as a knitting bowl, and it's perfect. You can't have it. But you can probably get a similar one at her sale, so I'll let you know the details anon. Here's another pic, just because:
I'm still stressed. But at least I have a dozen knitting projects lined up and waiting with luscious yarns (the only kind I buy) and fun patterns.
BRAVO! Keep up the Therapy! Be sure to let us know about the art fair & how we can buy her stuff.
