My gut tells me the Death Penalty is going to get doled out here. It feels like we've just scratched the surface and the AD (and thereby president) might be in on it. If they really are standing behind this behavior, how can the NCAA not hand out the Death Penalty?

The only question is: "How many goats will slay at the feet of the football gods to try to keep the axe from coming down?"

I don't know about the Death Penalty. I can provide long and well-reasoned arguments showing TSIO deserves the Death Penalty, but in the end I don't see the NCAA doing anything but caving. I could be proven wrong, and that wouldn't be the worst thing that's ever happened to me, but I think the NCAA will be too reluctant to lose the tv revenues and to hurt the rest of the conference (though I would argue that the conference is already suffering a massive self-inflicted wound from TSIO's flagrant decade-long cheating spree).

I think the NCAA could come up with something that's more than just loss of scholarships and bowl games, but less than a total ban.
