Yes We Have No Privacy

As of tomorrow, Google abandons even the slightest presence of preserving any individual privacy. Just let it all hang out, that's the new motto. Ok, it's pretty easy to disable web history and download a few programs that will cut down on the tracking, but not much you can do about google docs or your email. It's creepy. Google has my nickname--I didn't put it in, and I can't remove it. I think I'm going to look for a new email provider. It is really a bummer. That, and I'll keep screwing with their algorithms. Who searches for barbies, NCAA, and obscure French poetry? Mwahahaha. Put together an ad for THAT person!

Dolphins and Jellyfish

I've run away to play hooky for a weekend. I'm with a few other girls in a house on the beach. Is anything more soothing than the ocean? We saw dolphins swimming really close to the shore. And this morning, the sand was dotted with jellyfish washed up by last night's storm. I'd never seen a jellyfish before. They really do look like jelly. I just got a new "tool," an iPad. I know, I know, I've sold out. But! Maybe, just maybe, it will let me get back to posting more regularly. I've missed you, though perhaps you haven't missed me too much. And I've missed the discipline of finding something moderately interesting in every day that is not just about the law or my family. Today, dolphins and jellyfish. Tomorrow, who knows?
